I totally agree, but I think you oversimplified the whole shaving legs point. Yeah, women shave because of preference and aesthetics, but those preferences don't just exist out of nowhere. There's a lot more social nuance and pressure around the beauty standards women are expected to meet compared to men. I 100% agree that wokeness has made a lot of people dumb as shit and has actually held back social progress in a lot of ways. But let's not overcompensate by swinging so far in the opposite direction that we start ignoring the actual complexities of these topics just to avoiding sounding like these fake, pretentious, woke wannabes. Obviously don't be the person pointing this stuff out when people are just joking around or having a normal conversation because then you're just making things weird for no reason. But when we're actually trying to have a serious discussion, let's not pretend everything is "not that deep." That mindset has made people take serious topics less seriously and has gotten in the way of having genuine conversations about them.

I actually hate the shaving argument. People forget that feminism was created to allow women to make choices for themselves, whether that be to follow or not, they are making a CHOICE. If you’re gonna force women to stop shaving, you are genuinely JUST as bad as the men who used to force women into shaving in the first place.
