I was conservative in college. In one of my classes I wrote a paper about abortion and birth control being morally wrong. It was a well written paper so I got a good grade but the teacher did have a conversation with me about it. So I don’t buy that they can’t get good grades if they write what they think. They are probably just terrible writers. As an aside, my frontal lobe developed and I’m no longer conservative.

It's easy to be a conservative in college if you can argue your point with statistical reasoning. There are so many philosophies in the humanities field that are conservative, all you have to do is pick one and validate it.
