Do less insulin then you expect! The carbs are different. U can always do more. (I usually just leave my omnipod off). U are walking so much it won’t matter. U will have the time of your life don’t let T1D ruin ur big moment it’s only one part you it does not make you❤️❤️

The food is so much better on your blood sugar. I didn’t have to give as much insulin.

Went for 3 weeks, had the WORST sugars for the first week, eventually got used to it. My issue was that I suspected lots of lows because I was walking 20k steps / day. But the constant eating and activity mode made me go high

I went to Rome for 2 weeks, my anxiety was through the roof. Bring triple what u need, always be aware of what stores are close in case u need a sprite or something. You’ll be good

When I went to Europe the food was SOOO much better on my blood sugar especially when you factor in how much you are walking!!! I could eat pizza with three units and not go over 100

Little tip i realized from traveling: most foods are less processed and have way less added sugar so watch out for over bolusing but on the bright side my A1c went down lol

Done it many times as a T1D!! You’ve got this!!!! Bring extra shots and insulin as backup if your pump stops working. It’s stressful but the more you do it, the easier it gets!

i never thought this was a problem. i’ve been diabetic for 10 years and have travelled so much with ease in europe. yes always bring an extra of everything you need but the best part of traveling europe is that there is pharmacies with everything you’ll need if there’s an emergency. so don’t stress and enjoy

i went to italy for almost a month and ate everything, needed maybe half the insulin I usually take, and my blood sugar never went above 200, it was the most relaxed i’ve felt about my diabetes in a long time

my a1c drastically improved when I lived in Europe. I found tht the food doesn’t cause my blood sugars to spike as much plus their snacks/juices have lower carb do you don’t see an after spike as much :)
