Birds are meant to fly. Flying isn’t just how they travel, it’s how they exercise, explore, escape danger, and express natural behaviors. Clipping a healthy bird’s wings takes away one of the most important parts of being a bird. Instead of changing the animal to fit us, we should provide an environment where it can live as naturally and safely as possible. I hope you get to give him a life where he can happily use his wings and live as a bird.

Clipping wings doesn’t let birds fly, but trust me from experience it doesn’t stop them from attempting to fly, thus it doesn’t damage them permanently since they regularly use their muscles, to fly or attempt to.
