so my cat is trained in a few hundred words and complex tasks as a medical alert cat and she knows the word ouch. (she also ignores it at her whimsy) 😂

big cats will over react like that when playing with their cubs to help train them how to hunt. I do it with my cat and we play hide and seek tag throughout the house hahah the more I react to her jump scares and "attacks" she will get the zoomies

So cats have a central nervous system. They are sentient beings and can feel a certain level of emotions :) They can’t articulate them like we can, but they can absolutely show feelings of empathy and remorse.
