I am bad at technology. :
As an ex commercial pool guy who’s job often involved full water tests, totally dissolved solids, (tds,) has nothing to do with the water being sanitary or not. Please educate yourselves or get your water tested by a professional instead of reading into this JUNK.

It’s just a ppm meter. Anything over 600 is usually not good to drink. It’s just minerals in water. Not like it shows bacteria’s or viruses

Having a high total dissolved solids number does not automatically mean the water is dirty or unsafe to drink. It depends on what types of solids are dissolved.

All you’re testing for is total dissolved solids. in a state like Florida, where the water is considerably harder than other places, virtually any water will come out red. Pointless
