“make sure your not drinking tap water” if you have a bottle filler on your homes fridge that too is a tap water connection, there is nothing wrong with a public potable water supply lmao

I am bad at technology. :
As an ex commercial pool guy who’s job often involved full water tests, totally dissolved solids, (tds,) has nothing to do with the water being sanitary or not. Please educate yourselves or get your water tested by a professional instead of reading into this JUNK.

They also react to minerals that we need. Could you stick it into acetone as an experiment?

It’s just a ppm meter. Anything over 600 is usually not good to drink. It’s just minerals in water. Not like it shows bacteria’s or viruses

Puahctcuf :
Having a high total dissolved solids number does not automatically mean the water is dirty or unsafe to drink.
It depends on what types of solids are dissolved.

All you’re testing for is total dissolved solids. in a state like Florida, where the water is considerably harder than other places, virtually any water will come out red. Pointless
