@grneyez53: Metamorphosis | Creating Luxury Crystal Resin Art with Broken Howlite Metamorphosis Mixed Media • Howlite • Clear Quartz • Ethereal Quartz • Resin on Acrylic “Sometimes the most beautiful things are the ones that have been broken and lovingly restored.” This piece began with an unexpected accident. The original howlite slabs fractured during the creative process. Rather than replacing them, I chose to honor their journey. Each fragment was carefully reassembled, allowing the fractures to become part of the artwork instead of something to hide. The shimmering silver and iridescent seams celebrate transformation—reminding us that healing is rarely invisible. Our cracks often become the places where light enters. The broken howlite rests upon a bed of Clear Quartz, a crystal often associated in metaphysical traditions with clarity, amplification, and harmony. Surrounding the composition are pieces of Ethereal Quartz, whose sparkling formations evoke lightness, intuition, and spiritual connection, giving the entire work a floating, dreamlike presence. At the heart of the piece is Howlite, a stone long cherished by crystal enthusiasts for its calming energy. It is traditionally believed to encourage patience, ease an overactive mind, and promote peaceful sleep, making it a favorite crystal for bedrooms and meditation spaces. Its soft white surface, crossed with natural gray veining, symbolizes tranquility emerging through life’s complexities. Mounted on crystal-clear acrylic, the artwork appears suspended between earth and light—a reminder that transformation is never the end of our story, but the beginning of something more beautiful.
