so actually got to use this because I was playing against a purple cat I care with my black yellow teeth and what happened was is they set my 12K power blocker to a zero base but I then redirected into San Juan wolf to make my 12K a base 7K and it overrided the zero k base

It plays as the on play happens to make it 0 then resolves and the static effect takes back over. Monster luffy basically goes 9k to 0 then back to 9k before another action can be made. I think the ruling is perfect and makes the most sense.

if you read the ruling in the FAQ it's misleading... the FAQ presented a specific scenario where 2 activated effects happen. the answer stated that in this specific case the one with the highest will take effect because it was activated last... using nightmare Luffy is a bad example because nightmare Luffy does not activate but Is an applied effect, in this case nightmare Luffy would trump it but not for that reason

I think one of the cards I’m wondering about is the 4 cost Luffy that on attack you can trash a card and its base power becomes 7k. Would it switch back to 7k or stick to becoming a 0 power?

honestly that's fine with me katakuri already is really buff from the deck so already there not being that many cards used to set power to whatever is just somewhat good for the decks that use them so there is a way for katakuri to lose and that's with losing to maybe croc, penel, or a few others already he is the strongest of the new decks he needs a way to lose matches
