I just hated the comment section in this series, too many people saying “I don’t feel bad for this bride” yes she ignored red flags and she was more trusting that she should have been, but only hindsight is 20/20 and I just felt so bad for this couple the whole time

When I started doing research for my wedding, there was a caterer that I really wanted to hire because the menu on the website look good at the prices were good. I kept researching and since I had a long engagement I was not in a rush. I found out this caterer constantly change names would go to city the city as soon as the bad review is caught up to them.

Somebody who was scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars by somebody, they always do just enough to keep you thinking you are the crazy one! The bursting into hysteric the minute they get caught with explanations is also such a sign, but I didn’t know at the time. Mine was a very different situation, but I feel for the original person who sent the story in!

You know, when I got engaged my wedding dream was that I’d have zero involvement in the decision making process, I just wanted to show up to a beautiful classy wedding and pick out my own dress that’s all. I HATED the wedding planning process. Every single bit. So. Much. Stress. So I understand this couple wanting to do the same. I guess what saved me was that we didn’t have it in our budget to pay someone else for this luxury service. I do feel bad for them kinda

I knew they didn’t actually get back any of that money ! It’s so sad how flawed the court system is . As someone who’s somewhat familiar with the court system bc my parents sued and old landlord who tried to scam them out of over a thousand dollars . They won a judgement against them and still to this day after going to court over the same issue twice ,10 years later have never seen a dime of that money

Reading all of this stuff just makes me more grateful my wedding was in a simpler time. And also no money meant I didn’t really expect a lot. My aunts, cousins, church family stepped up and organized everything. Only thing I chose was the material and pattern for my gown. And candles. That’s it.
