@vintagestonework: The client asked me today if I was happy with the work so far. It was a thoughtful question, and one I genuinely appreciated. Any stonemason reading this will probably smile, because they already know the answer. Not really. I don't think we're ever completely satisfied with what we build. We see the little things nobody else notices. The stone we wish we'd turned another way. The line we'd like to soften. The missed chance to make something just a little more beautiful, a little more honest. The list never really ends. Maybe that's part of the craft. Every wall teaches you something that the next one gets to carry. The important thing is that the clients are happy, and that means a lot. Their trust is something I never take lightly. I do wish I'd been a little quicker with this one. But old stone has its own pace, and there's no point trying to rush something that's meant to last for generations. #upcycling #exteriordesign #stonemason #art
