whenever i tried standing up for myself, i was always told no or to be quiet (mainly bc i was a "child who needed to stay in a child's place" but only when convenient lol). so i learned to keep things to myself to protect the peace, but then that led to me not talking as much, social anxiety, and basically stunting my own communication growth bc of it 💀 the irony of it all (12H leo sun, mercury & venus btw wooo)

12h Sag Merc, I had to learn ASL for the first five years of my life because I was nonverbal, but i believe that was partially because I was abused as an infant by my sister. Because I didn't speak for so long, I had a speech impediment for a long time (until middle school). My dad got Ménière's Disease when i was around 7 years old and he lost partial hearing in one of his ears, so I was always having to repeat myself, which was frustrating and, after a while, I began to interpret it as him willingly not listening even if he was five feet in front of me. I focused more on written and nonverbal communication, and I've always been told I'm a good writer. My Sun, Merc, and Venus are all in 12h Sag, so I also feel like people interpret my natural Sag optimism as naivety, which is probably the worst part of it. 😔

Honestly yeah, it feels so overarching, too, like the simplest things. For example, looking something up in a search engine, I’ll have to take my time trying to figure out how to word a question, and if (big if) I actually find what I want, I’ll see the search terms are basically synonyms or just a rearranged wording, and it can be frustrating because I feel like I’m doing something wrong or over complicating everything
