Chornobyl happened because 1. RMBK reactors are fucking terrible, the cooling water literally turned to steam and heated it up instead(who tf designed this) and 2. The workers were under severe pressure from the Soviet Union and they didn’t follow the proper safety procedures, HOWEVER in their Defense they were literally kept in the dark about crucial information, they would have failed no matter what they did because the safety instructions didn’t tell them what they actually needed to do

For real. As a chornobly fan I’m happy to explain why. The meltdown happened because of worker failure. Not because of the nuclear reactor. So it tells us that we need better education and not this. Nuclear energy is the most efficient and safe energy source. Let’s take another examples Fakhusima (sorry if I spelt it wrong) it was caused not due yk worker failure nether reactor failure. It was due to a tsunami. So it’s nearly never the reactors fault. If you argue with nuclear waste here is a photo of 30 years amount of nuclear waste so yeah enjoy!!!
