On my way to work a guy that's always on the corner with a sign asked me for a dollar, which I've given him plenty of times I said shoot I'm a single mom I don't even know how I'm buying clothes, supplies and shoes at this point for school. The next day which was Thursday he ran up to my car and tried to give me a $10 dollar bill!! He said "for your kids school stuff" I obviously didn't take it, but man that really changed my mind about how I view ppl on the corner with a sign. He was really Gona give me 10 from our 15 second conversation the day before.

Once when I was walking down the street in Dallas, some guy was walking towards me and I could tell by the way he was looking at me that was going to ask me for some spare change. Right before he was going to ask me, I said, "hey, do you have any spare change?" Dude was flabbergasted! 🤣 He patted his front pockets, looked confused, and said, "Uh, no." 🤣

The dollar store asked me to round up for a donation for school supplies, i looked straight at her and said “i am at the dollar store buying essentials…i’m not the one” but seriously why is a discount store asking us for anything, we are obviously broke

This guy in LA was asking for money outside the subway station while I was in college. He was an aspiring singer and new in town. I gave him a dollar and after we chatted for a bit he gave the dollar back and said damn girl you need it more than I do. I did in fact need it to pay for my subway ticket 😭
