That baby will get there eventually. We had a rescue black lab and for the first 2-4 months, if anyone tried to walk in the room she was in she'd try to make the ground swallow her up. She didn't know how to be a dog. She finally started showing signs of playing and coming up to us for reassurance and when she did, it was the most rewarding thing. We ended up having her for 3 years and she became the most affectionate, loving, happy girl. You're doing the best for little Sally, she'll get there ❤️

I’ve been following closely. We are fostering a very very scared dog who has been hiding under a desk for two weeks. She will come out at night for food and potty, but that’s it. She is accepting treats from my hand a few pets. Which feels like a huge win. She’s also moved and is in a less protective laying position, so we’ve had a little progress.
