Nope. The brine gets trucked up to the rust belt and spread over the roads and rusts my Chevys away.

Hilarious thinking the reason we don’t do more desalination is the ecological problem. 😂. The real reason? It’s expensive.

Desalinization hasn’t been expanded because it is expensive.

Or, hear me out, you find an industrial use for the brine

they can just heat it up and evaporate the rest and just have a huge pile of salt somewhere....

I was an engineer in the navy. Where the fuck you think we got our potable water when we were underway? Reverse osmosis.

We boil it into sea salt. Or pump it into the desert where it’s just sand a nothing else. Idk I live where we can get water anywhere you dig a hole

Bet you could make engines that run on what’s left after desalinating the water. I despise Tim pool

he's overstating the danger of brine dumping. modern plants don't dump it all back into one place - they have long outflow pipes with multiple exits over a long distance, which prevents high concentration of brine from being dumped in one spot

desalination hadn't been implemented because its not cost effective, you think big corp would care if it left bad water if it made money?... no the cost does not meet the needs yet so they won't put the money in to finance

still not an adequate excuse imo, like why not dump it in a salt flat at least? Or better yet, just make the processing plant to process said brine, we already have plants to process fresh water as well as freaking sewage, brine should be lightwork

Use heat from the sun the water turns into steam and is then condensed the salt stays at the bottom of the tank and is then cleaned off and that salt can me used to put out wild land fires
