I didn't get it until my niece explained a server was loosing out on working tables and being tipped being stuck in the to go area. I always tip generously to go. Canceling just feeds the back of kitchen, they don't mind😂😂

I once saw someone spike an Xbox out side the electronic store I worked at because he was mad about having to wait in line for his pre-order. Hundreds of dollars over a 20 minute wait after waiting for months. I get being frustrated, a lot of people were picking up their orders that day. He came in later for a refund. He threatened to sue and said it was our fault he did what he did. It made me wonder how much of his drywall was actually patched. This was 2008, I don’t think they do pre-orders like this anymore.

I’m curious if restaurants can block people like this from doing another to go order? If you are going to cause a ruckus in the restaurant, I don’t think you should be allowed to make another order without permission from the restaurant

So, the reason why it is nice to tip on to go orders, is that not only does the server have to take the time to gather the food, get all the condimentsn and plasticwear you need for you order while they are also serving 5 other tables, but- and this is the big thing, they still pay taxes on your order. Servers pay taxes on every single item they ring. if they don't get tipped for it they are at a loss for that order.
