Great recs!! If you guys like to watch videos on this stuff, I recommend the youtube channel Be Kind Rewind!! She touches on so much in film history and focuses a lot on the women in film. So interesting!

I have to say - Biskind’s Easy Riders, Raging Bulls was the first non-fiction book about Hollywood to really grab me. It equally builds and destroys the lore about 70s filmmaking in a fascinating way.

One of my favourite Hollywood books is The Kid Stays In The Picture by Robert Evans. It's an autobiography, so it's definitely a POV, and the line between accurate account and gossip(and so the line between fiction and non-fiction) gets wavy but it's a hell of a read.
