What’s even dumber is that by 2035 both the EU and China will not allow ICE cars into their markets. This means Honda will be shut out of two out of three of the largest car markets on the planet.

Where’s the infrastructure for EVs? Tax breaks to install 240V chargers in people’s homes? Add that this government treats EV technology like being trapped in a room with a spider, Toyota and Honda are making bank with hybrids.

I had just bought the Prologue when I found out they discontinued it. Traded it in would make me loose money. I wish I got the Subaru instead lol.

The overall market demand for EV’s has plummeted. That’s why, pretty simple. Hybrid is the way to go. Honda and Toyota know what they’re doing.

Honda have in-house EVs in other countries, they're only cancelling US EVs because their US EV plant wasnt completed. they actually can't stop selling EVs in other countries, because they won't meet emissions.

I'm pretty sure this came because they realized they can't compete with byd, it's not worth it for them to compete in that market so they're shifting attention to their hybrids

“Out of nowhere.” What are you talking about? The Prologue was supposed to tide people over until Honda’s ground up 0 series was ready, which was going to be 2027. The Prologue was never going to go past 2026.

Yea I’ll never buy a ICE family car again. I still love my weekender but for daily use, I’ll be upgrading to another BYD in 5 years.

EVs are great if you live in a city and don't drive long distances all the time. that fits for some people but not for most. if you live in the country they just don't make sense. also finding charging stations sucks in most areas of the US. I have a hybrid and love it. my neighbor got an EV and hates it. once her lease is up its gone. I know way too many people just like her in my area because the infrastructure isn't built to support them.

I have a volt, I'm going full electric next. prologue was on the short list, which I might still get, but I think I'll get a lyriq as I don't see gm exciting the ev market and I want to make sure anyone that works on my ev has everything experience. won't do Tesla and polstar is banned...

I can’t own an EV. I live in the city in a row house. I have no off street parking. I can’t guarantee I can park near my house to charge it. I’ll take a hybrid, thanks. EVs are not for everyone

Toyota also release something or at least I saw in their websites that they’re gonna focus on hybrids? And a salesperson in my Mazda dealer said they’re pushing for hybrids too. Are all Japanese makers betting on that?
