I stopped attending at 17. They found me at 3 more addresses after that. Now I live 5 states over, in the middle of nowhere, and they still found me. I find myself blocking missionaries multiple times a month.

I have a tried and true method. i'm always very sweet with them. Very nice, and I welcome them into my home. I offer them a glass of water or a cup of tea. I tell them that I used to be a member and I'd love to discuss things with them. They never come back. 😂

I feel like the whole missionaries acquiring information on other people and giving it to higher ups in the church so that the Deserters can be "Saved" it HAS TO BE a manipulation tactic.....kind of like how Scientologists threaten to sue ex Scientologists for speaking about it

This happened to us! Our records were transferred into our parents ward without them knowing and they had to have an uncomfortable conversation w/the bishop that we’d had papers signed to removed our names and that shouldn’t even have happened.
