this isa strawman. no one is saying dark romance books make men violent. the actual discourse is whether these books can romanticize or normalize abusive behaviour, making it harder for some girls and young women, esp, to recognize red flags until they're already in an unhealthy situation. very different claim. and considering someone literally went viral the other day for asking if mafia members read mafia romances for ideas, as if literal human traffickers are kicking their feet giglging over romance novels, it's a fair question

because then young women are likely to internally romanticise toxic behaviours. these books should be kept for people who are mature and ready enough, unfortunately not all young adults have full understanding. this could lead to women mistaking red flags for romance, not reporting abuse, and so forth. no one is saying it’s women’s fault. but this content should be regulated. not promoted as romance and made into a movie for EVERYONE to see
