As much as I think it’s dumb to take personal offense to people getting penny items, try to understand that some of these cashiers are worried about being reprimanded or even fired for not at least trying to intervene, it’s mostly because they want to protect themselves, they also have no control over these items being pulled from the floor they don’t have that authority

If the penny item stuff is such a big problem then they should mark things as $99,999 instead of a penny. Those items are marked down that low because Home Depot wants to take it off the shelf and throw it in a dumpster. I don’t understand the issue… it’s entirely made up by Home Depot and they can either let people take advantage of it, or they can change how they do things, like marking it with a super high price rather than super low….
