If they can afford to, it’s as simple as that. If they can’t afford to, well, you just need to understand that times are really tough right now and help them get to the point where they can.

In this economy, that's a death sentence. Bad parents.

It’s SO expensive. My daughter lives with me…she’s an adult & it’s better this way. Generational homes need to come back as a “thing”.

You let one stay until 26 so that younger one should get another 4 years

maybe this is a hot take, but with the state of the world if my kids wanna live with me forever and we have a multigenerational home I'm absolutely ok with that. they still need to be productive members of society, but if they want to all live together in a big ole house or maybe on some land we all own i am A-Ok with this

That was the perfect answer from Lucy 😳 what a humiliatingly mean thing for the parents to do on such a public scale while having fun at a show

And considering how Carissa was a homeless teen because her own parents were like that. This must’ve hurt.

I’m sorry, 22 is not adult enough for rent. Like I’m 34 and I can barely afford rent.

If you can't handle the possibility of caring for a child for their entire life (or yours) Don't have kids. Period. They don't ask to be born, you made that decision. You also made that decision with no knowledge of what their future looks like. Too many people have kids just because they want to with no thought about that child being an entire human being you just brought into existence without any ability for them to make that decision, and then act like they're an inconvenience when they need support. And also, if you had kids specifically for your own benefit (to care for you when you get old, for example), you are a horrible, selfish, entitled person.

Hey ma, have you looked at apartment and housing costs? Have you seen the job market? Challenge you to work out a workable budget for them on the money they can make that allows them to do this.

Have them pay you rent. Save it up and give it to them for an apartment. Support them so they can get good jobs. Pay for their school. Start them on the right foot
