It happens! I had an old head proudly tell me he pledged kappa at one school, transferred schools, and then became a sigma bc he didn’t like the kappas there.

✋🏽 I know of someone who did this. She pledged a grad chapter of AKA in the south(won't say which state) then moved overseas and months later announced she was a Zeta on Facebook. From my understanding, she denies ever being an AKA. I thought she was doing it to eventually write a book about her experience because she's a writer. There needs to be a national database that D9 sororities & fraternities share to cross-reference members who are actually initiated to stop this.

So I know a guy who was a member of Iota and Omega. When Iota joined the NPHC in 1993 he had to choose. He chose Iota. He’s a life member.

You cannot join multiple organizations under thr NPHC. Even if you denounce one, you cannot join another. Those are the rules under the NPHC.

Yess when SGRHO was a professional (non collegiate ) sorority pre NPHC there was a lot of dual membership before the transition to the nphc

To state the obvious, the Delta Founders were AKAs. Anyway. I know a Zeta who secretly became an AKA. I knew her to be a Zeta in our youth. As adults I saw her in a city I was visiting as an AKA. I was so confused 😳. She avoided me all night. On the way out the door, I just looked at her and said I see you. Not my org, not my problem. Just crazy.

I had a Delta tell me she wanted to join my Sorority 💙🤍.. I said ummmm... no. she said, if you dont tell, they wont know... girl, if you dont get out my face. however I do understand some reasons why one would to switch, but I also know why its a no no. Undergrad experiences and life after college are significantly different and you may see a better fit after you've evolved out of Undergrad, so its absolutely possible to want to jump ship to another organization
