I left 2 weeks ago after 18 years of marriage, 3 kids together (6 combined), and being financially and emotionally alienated for years. He wanted me to be a fully independent woman while married to him but I couldn’t sit there watching him buy whatever he wanted while I struggled to pay my car payment and daycare costs myself. After he called me a lazy bitch in front of our kids, I knew it was time to just go. I left him with everything we own. Packed up clothes for me and our daughter and left. He has our sons right now because I have nowhere for them to stay with me. Leaving is never easy. But I know it will be worth the sacrifices. Proud of you for choosing yourself.

He started shaving down there out of nowhere, random car wash and cleaned interior, found an extra large blouse and he said he bought it for me (I’m an XXS/XS), and constant “I knew you were doing something” and “if you were doing something behind my back just tell me” (he said that to me). I never found a real confirmation of him cheating, but all these were the confirmation I needed. I’m back at my parents for now with my 8 month old and I have not cried since. My anxiety is slowly going away. 😊
