as a customer, that's lazy AF. it's a GIANT pain to type in each code and then cancel out the transaction over and over to figure out what you have enough to buy. I spent 40 mins in front of a vending machine at the ER last week trying to see if my 2 dollars in change from the bottom of my purse could get me anything and I eventually gave up and asked a nurse for a pack of saltines. also prices not being on items in general will deter people from even bothering.

I understand where your coming from because what if you put a monster where skittles use to be so you have to change it each time but at the same time I would like to know how much each thing is before I buy something to see if I have enough money for that thing but it is your machine at the end of the day

At minimum put a sign to state how to check the prices for those who don’t know. But as for the price tags it depends on what’s more valuable to you your own time or customers and/or potential customers as on one hand it takes you more time to do inconveniencing yourself but on the other hand it takes your customers significantly longer which may put off some potential customers altogether as half the point for paying higher than retail price from vending machines is convenience which your current system doesn’t fully prioritize
