the major problem with this line of thinking is that it assumes women are using sex as a reward, or the absense of sex as a punishment. a vast majority of us dont. relationships arent meant to be transactional, but they are meant to be reciprocal. when we consistently pour ourselves into somebody who doesnt do the same, for years, we end up woth nothing left to pour. and often times we DO have the conversation, but our partner refuses to see the difference between transactionality and reciprocity.

I don’t think women don’t have s** to punish the other person. Intimacy is an expression of love for women and we need emotion, love, and connection to fully be present in the moment and to enjoy it. If a man is lacking in the relationship and not emotionally present, than a woman feels “invisible” so I understand why a woman would naturally pull back from intimacy because they will feel more like an object instead of it being a natural loving act.

when issues happen in marriage most men avoid having a conversation. no conversation! just showing up for sex without having an honest conversation because most men feel its their right to be given it whether you arw happy eith them or not. no emotional intelligence. no emotional connection

Not justifying cheating.. goes on to justify cheating. The woman is presumed to be the one that makes intimacy a transaction, which allows men to get that transaction somewhere else.

That’s the most vulnerable you can be as a woman ( when having sex) so how do you become vulnerable with someone who just hurt you. I think honest communication is key i have found me have a disconnect in listening if your wife is complaining about you showering once a week, her having to always wash the sheets, her being tired from the kids or whatever it is in your house. Grown up and deal with the issues she pointed out. The amount of times I hear the woman said no and I went out and made the effort to get another woman's attention for her to want to lay down with me. While ignoring the wife is hilarious, take some accountability that maybe you like the thrill or chase or didnt want to do the work consistently at home. I am a wife who loves her husband but nothing pisses me off more than him ignoring something I said then feel wounded when I hold him accountable like sir I want you while you are being the best you dont sever me dirt and expect me to take it.
