as a dungeon master, I can confidently say that if my players were better at role-playing I 100% would. but I don't think my players care that much about role-playing. and as a dungeon master, I understand that because there was a point in time when everything was about combat for me as a player. so until I can get my players to come out of their shell. as far as role-playing goes, the beach episode is not going to be a thing that happens

The last time I had a beach episode the party fought their way inside a Mormon temple and my character got turned into Joseph Smith in a body horror sequence. She then died the very next session 😓
