Now Allah says in the Quran 33:21. Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah, you have an excellent example for whoever looks forward to Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah abundantly. Now whats interesting is Allah used the word an excellent example. An example is something that is meant to be followed. If the Prophet (SAW) is described as the best of example then it means that we should follow him and absorb his character into our lives. Now lets picture this Imagine you moved to a new home and you need to buy furniture. You go to Ikea to buy furniture now when you buy furniture it comes with an instruction manual. Now imagine building a furniture and not knowing what it looks like or seeing an example but there is no picture of where to place the screws or what wood to use and etc. without an example we would struggle to build the furniture. Or in education a university may give you an assignment for example write 10,000 words eassy. use academic sources, reference correctly, and structure your arguments and other information about the assignment. Those instructions tell you what to do, but seeing a high-scoring example shows you how to do it well. Without an example, many students would misunderstand the standard or struggle to produce excellent marks or a top grade. The same happens in schools. Likewise the Quran gives us principles and commands, while the prophet (SAW) demonstrates how these principles are lived by his actions, saying and silent approval. For example the Quran tells us to pray but it does not describe every detail of the prayer. How many rak'ahs are in each prayer? What is recited in each position? What actions make the prayer valid or invalid? How do we pray with humility and how to make our prayer meaningful. It is thought trough his words and actions. It applies to other actions of worship of Allah. The same applies to social matters for example good character, The Quran tells us to be kind, patient, merciful, honest, forgiving. But the prophet showed humanity what they look like in real life. He forgave those who persecuted him, showed mercy even to his enemies, cared for the poor, honoured women, treated children with affection

as a new revert, who grew up in a Christian cult, I'm noticing there's a lot of people treating Mohammed (pbuh) the way Christians treat Jesus. not as a prophet, but more as a god. listening to him above God, focusing on him above God. treating him like a savior instead of a messenger. almost, if not actually, worshipping him. it's very confusing to me. they say that God's word is basically incomplete, when God tells its exactly what we need, then following the words of man instead of God. it's making it very hard to learn, if I'm being honest, it's reminding me of everything I ran from when I left the cult.

i just think it is odd that they think "the Quran becomes each individual's interpretation of it" ...thats the point? Allah literally tells us to use our own brains and not just blindly listen to someone else. also following the messenger means following the message he delivers, which is the Quran. if he delivers his own message that doesnt make him a messenger, thats just a speaker

The Quran repeatedly commands, Obey Allah and the Messenger (I.e- Quran 4;59). If obeying the Messenger meant obeying the Quran the command would be redundant. This is reinforced by verses saying Prophet sent to teach the Book and the Wisdom.(2:129

I actually have beef with that girl because she was talking about gossip and I asked if it’s considered gossip if I tell my husband about my day at work and all the crazy things that happened, she said yes it’s none of his business. So what we can’t even talk to our husbands either now?? Also Allah used to answer my prayers when I hadn’t found Islam yet and I would just talk to god while driving. Guys let me give you an analogy. If I gave you a manual on how to drive a car, but you were a 4 year old child which lacks understanding, the manual itself isn’t insufficient it’s YOU who lack the capacity to understand. Same way the Quran is indeed sufficient however it’s not up to us and was never up to us to openly interpret the Quran how we will, that was the messengers job to explain the divine message hence why the Hadiths are important. Also one more thing to assume Hadith is false would be to assume every generation since the prophets death until now has just been misguided and suddenly tiktok influencers have discovered the truth. Think about that 😭

I grew up Sunni and this one time I spent my night in Ibadah at a mosque and they brought out a “hair” which was apprently the prophets and told us if we look at it any wish we have comes true? Like what?? 15 year old me was thinking how the hell did they even find it and preserve it for so long, but what your saying makes soooo much sense, the prophet was just a messenger and the best of humans to walk the earth but that’s it human.
