remember they tried to change ed funding to taxes to make funding schools easier better (Dawn Netsch ran for gov on it) but of course she wasnt elected. Jim Thompson was sooo popular bc he cut taxes and set our pension system on the road to ruin but He cut taxes!!! 😫

Oh wow. Ohio is almost 70% property tax and 30% state. It's been ruled illegal by our Supreme Court but the state politicians won't change it and nobody does anything about it.

A lot of schools in Arkansas are funded by farm plots as well. About a century ago the state gave a plot of land to just about every rural school district and many districts have kept those plots even through consolidations. Those are then farmed out and the profits help support schools.

The rich are not the problem. Average and poor people defending them is the problem. They think one day it’ll be me and I don’t want to pay taxes. Spoiler alert, you’ve got no chance. The poorest billionaire, makes $1mil/week in passive income alone. We’re not in the same league.
