my partner preordered it for me as a surprise gift and then our dog traumatically and suddenly passed away while i’m also just personally going through it…needless to say i bawled like a baby and my partner somehow knew exactly what i needed to be reading

My dog passed in January and had horrible seizures like Simon - I lost her so suddenly I just haven't been able to be in a space to read her book yet. Maybe one day though.

I got the audiobook as well as the physical copy and let me tell you… listening to it before work each day was NOT the move because of the amount of times I cried. It was such an honest book. 💚 Isabel & I are the same age and I felt like I was reliving some of my own memories through her.
