I still think that’s Spirit. That eagle is not new to the area. The eagle is very familiar with that area and that nest. Extremely comfortable there. And it really seems like shadow is reluctant to harm that eagle or even Shoo it too much. In spirit has come by from time to time so that wouldn’t be new.

He probably will hang out with her but it does not mean he wants her as a mate. When M15 of the SWFL nest lost his first mate he had all kinds of females coming after him. He would perch with them but he found a completely different mate by breeding season.

Shadow is not interested. He is still behaving like a paired territorial male: defending the nest area and continuing his parental duties. The critical period is the fall season. Hopefully, Jackie can be release back to her area before that.
