I think Ilay doesn’t have a type. He said to Taeui he had one (Xinlu) only to tease taeui. Later in the books we understand that taeui is the type Ilay likes. Ilay is a person who likes a person depending on his mood. Ilay even said to richard he doesn’t know if he’s attracted to taeui bc of his looks and he doesn’t see Taeui shines particualry (compared to Christoph who sees taeui shining). He sees Taeui for who he is, and exactly how he is. He just likes taeui because he’s taeui. He knows with precision every part of taeui’s body and he’s not blinded by the filter of love. He’s obsessed, but not blinded

In my opinion (but that's just my opinion, everyone can have different opinions 💗), Taeui's first true love is Ilay, and Xinlu's is Yuri. I have a question: does Xinlu have a specific type, whether it's a personality thing or does he like people who can stay with him for a long time? (I've always wondered about that 😆) And as for Christopher, I love his dynamic with Taeui, although I think Christopher deserves better than Richard 😐😅💗
