The only point i don’t agree with is the always update your packages , most companies and the one i work at we tend to use legacy packages to make sure there are no viruses or vulnerabilities being introduced in the newer updates just like what is happening right now with npm packages . We mitigate known vulnerabilities by changing code and only update after newer packages have been validated for security, stability, and compatibility.
