I don't understand how the people calling for censorship don't take into account how it would inevitably affect them and their experience negatively as well! Like censorship wouldn't be personally tailored (you can do that with the tagging system as you said!!), it would take away something they love too😰

I know I'll probably get hate for this but even though I don't want censorship, I would at least like for all stories to be tagged for with their dark topics regardless of whether or not it spoils smut, so that people can actually filter out what they don't want. triggering some readers for the sake of not spoiling (dark theme) sex for those who can handle it is not ok. recently got surprise CNC, dubcon, heavily implied attempted 🍇, somnophilia without consent talks, I could've easily skipped those stories if it was tagged properly. I don't think authors should be allowed to hide that stuff behind "the creator chose not to tag"

they REFUSE to learn how to use the website and then get mad at US. ao3 literally categorizes fics by "general, teen, mature, AND EXPLICIT!!!". they are specifically searching out these fics to complain about them.

Literally everything people suggest is just Wattpad. Like if you want an algorithm sooo bad, Wattpad is right there. If you want to leave a like on each chapter, Wattpad is right there.
