I'm curious what's more intensive on the system, doing this or just having 2 OBS clients open. I imagine editing softwares much prefer two separate files rather than one massive resolution one too

id recommend looking at the branch output plugin. I thi k thats more simple and you can run it for replay buffer or recording during stream

Quick recap: set the canvas size to 3840x1080 (2x the width of 1080p). This allows you to record a high res version of both the game and your webcam separately so that your camera isn’t burned into the game or blurry when you make it bigger. Unfortunately this works only for recording as far as I know, so if you want to stream this won’t work. If u do stream and recording then just make separate scene collections and profiles in OBS so that you can quickly switch between them. When editing all you need to do is duplicate the footage, then crop 1920 left on one and right on the other. For the game simply double its size and move to fill the screen. For the webcam do whatever you want!
