@mada_mind: Honestly just the question of “what is a women” is sufficient to show the inconsistency in their ideology #transgender #lgbt #feminism #religion #islam
what i dont understamd is why are religious women excluded from feminism cs they "uphold the patriarchy" but trans women uphold the stereotypes and r still accepted??

I support transgender people but I cant lie and say that this hasn't always confused me 😭 ive never mentioned ir or asked cause I thought it was rude but ive never fully wrapped my head around how it wasnt gender stereotypes. idrk what feeling like a girl vs a boy really means tbh. ive never really *felt* like a girl; I just am yknow. whenever transgender people explain it ive still never understood cause it just feels like stereotypes. whats the difference between a person being a feminine man vs a Trans woman? I really dont want to be rude or anything I have trans friends I just really dont understand

People say a woman can be a man because gender is a social construct and when you ask them to define what a woman is they say a person who fits the “characteristics” of one. Meaning there would HAVE to be some sort of gender role

Also, whenever you ask them to define what a woman or man is, they either give you one of these 2 definitions: a woman/man is someone who identifies as a woman/man which is an invalid definition because it is circular reasoning and redundant. OR they’ll claim a woman/man is someone who fits into the societal expectations/role of what a woman/man is, which is regressive and misogynistic. Feminism has been fighting for HUNDREDS of years for women to stop being defined by societal expectations.

I’m so bummed the left decided to adopt gender ideology when gender abolition makes so much more sense

Saying the binary is bullshit then saying trans women are women and trans men are men undercuts the whole argument

Saying that people are born with an innate sense of gendered concepts is BIOLOGICAL ESSENTIALISM

Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean you disregard it entirely because that’s just now how you live. I don’t like capitalism all that much but I still have a job, participate in the stock market, and I’m studying accounting in America because it’s not going away any time soon. Much like a trans woman would say they don’t like gender roles but still do their best to fit to the conformity of the gender that most suits them in their mind.

i think this argument is interesting, but transgender people experience gender dysphoria and gender euphoria. I don’t understand both concepts fully, as I am not trans and haven’t experienced either. But I think that’s an important factor in this argument.

I would prefer to see more people fighting against the stereotypes of their assigned gender. I’m dating a feminine man, I’m friends with a lot of masculine women. I feel like this helps break the tie gender and simply expressing yourself in a masculine or feminine way

That's just not true though. The most common experience for trans people is just feeling something is off about themselves their whole lives, not barbies.

I think your point makes a lot of sense and I agree. But I also disagree, because transgenderism doesn’t necessarily have to include gender roles, often trans people are trans because of gender dysphoria, plus most people when they say “gender roles shouldn’t exist” (or at least in my experience) mean in it in a way that it shouldn’t be expected or forced, not that they shouldn’t be allowed to adopt those ideas. Most people wouldn’t have a problem with a woman being a stay at home but they would have a problem if she HAD to be a stay at home

i don’t think gender should exist at all, if there is no gender than there is no gender dysphoria. and once you take away gender roles and connection to biology, it means nothing.

idk man trans people aren't forced to follow the gender roles. if ur mtf you don't need to be ina skirt, you don't need to look petite. if ur comfortable in ur own skin that's all you need no? i kinda agree with you but grouping up trans people saying they're contradicting themselves is kinda whack
