Even if the USA owes the money to itself that's still forcing the u.s gov to pay money in interest and that interest is still eating up a larger and larger portion of the budget each year. which intern is forcing higher taxes and spending/quality cuts and is reducing the value of the USD. also this is our dated (39.6T) and the USA (and china to a little but it's worse for the usa) is deflated here because this is only federal debt not total debt. if you get the debt from every government level the USA is in it's like 3.7x the debt than gdp and the debt is growing at about 1t every 34 days

To all the Europeans coping about the debt: when you’re the worlds reserve currency, and you’re the world’s leading economic powerhouse, debt doesn’t matter. We have debt because our bond market is strong. people want to invest in our economy. Your country doesmt have the same level of debt because your bond market sucks because your economy sucks.
