I always thought I was late in life. Didn't start a career until I was 36 years old. Bought a house at 44. And now at the age of 46 I'm starting to pursue the career of my dreams. And it has all felt like it was the right timing.

Thank you for saying this. I hate when I say, “I’m a late bloomer” because it’s really a result of the hardships I worked so hard to overcome in my 20’s and 30’s. I’m a much more responsible person in my 50’s because I needed time to heal.

I built on top of a crumbling foundation. I felt like I was doing alright and then that foundation came out from under me. and now i have to rebuild but I have no more energy to do it again. 😭

My brothers were protected from the emotional trauma so they got to have their own families because they were never scared about marriage or family. I did not. But thank you for saying this because it gives me hope that I still can.

My husband and I started a business at 52, it has been us against the world for almost 30 yrs and our kids were finally grown and we just took the leap. We realize at this age we don’t have any do overs so we have approached it with a vigor that we may not have when younger, while also utilizing the life experience that we have earned over the yrs. Best choice we ever made.
