@danlette_1: Earlier this morning, Liberians in Columbus, Inc. (LICI) hosted its Annual Liberian Flag Raising Ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse as part of Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebrations. The festivities continue tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, with the 179th Independence Day Gala Dinner & Fundraiser at The Ave Space Event Center (4284 Macsway Ave., Columbus, OH 43232), beginning at 5:00 p.m. Guests can look forward to an evening of cocktail hour, dinner, entertainment, cultural performances, awards and recognition, a Queen Contest celebrating Liberian women, and community fellowship.
