The word impure itself is misused a lot. Impure doesn’t mean being dirty or stained; it means being mixed with something else. And if you look at the way sex has been designed, it’s for two people to share with each other and bring themselves together. It’s also symbolic because it symbolises consummation of a marriage in biblical terms and is meant to bond two people together in becoming one. When gold is mixed with other metals, it’s not pure gold, thefore it’s impure, but nevertheless, we don’t call it dirty; it’s just not pure gold. It still has its value regardless. Sex was never bad; it’s a beautiful thing, and the idea that sex is bad comes from purity culture.
