Filler episodes can be a good time when a show has 22 episodes a season. When it’s only 8-10 episodes there really shouldn’t be any.

It’s the pacing. The show is burning through plot lines at a breakneck speed. What makes it worse is that the seasons are short. That’s why breaking form the main story doesn’t serve the show because now there is even less time to focus on the primary threat. I love this show and think they’re doing 90% of the things right. They need longer seasons to allow these plots to marinate. Like even Danger, there should’ve been build up over several episodes to her becoming sentient. Here’s to hoping they figure it out for next season.

i’m so sad about how emma frost & her storylines in the comics are being treated in the show. she’s being erased and heavily mischaracterised when she is on screen and it’s sad to see because she is one of xmens most complicated and dynamic characters 😞

It’s giving Young Justice Season 2-5 where they WANT to play with every toy in the toy box, and are capable of telling some fun/satisfying stories in a vaccuum with em…but we are just rushing from point to point to include as much shit as possible (which ironically is the OPPOSITE of what Young Justice did with its last season tha dragged for years in 12 episodes)

this is why this show needed 20 episodes minimum!!! 8 episodes for a cartoon practically does nothing for the characters and the plot, while it mostly worked in the first season I would’ve loved a longer season so we can sit with these characters and the plot more!

The season isn’t been hitting as hard as s1. It’s fun and I enjoy the eps but 1 felt more cohesive. And the show overall has a huge problem rushing storylines to fit into 1 ep of a 9/10 ep season.

I LOVE when the X-Men are a school and I thought positioning Lorna as a veteran x-man turned teacher was really interesting (even if she was literally just arresting those kids). I hope we get to actually do more with the school than just watch the kids be put in danger over and over again

While I do want more for Lorna... the Austen Uncanny issue of her botched wedding is forever iconic to me 😭. Like if you're gonna do the "and she went CRAAAAAZZZZYYYY" storyline I appreciate that it is just unhinged. Also would love to see more comics videos. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Morrison run!

I really liked how they're really going for the idea that the X-Mansion is an actual safe haven and school for young mutants and runaways, something that wasn't apart of the comics or the original animated series' up until that concept was introduced in live action films, interestingly enough. Hopefully we'll get to see more of Generation X in the future of the show. BUT, I hate how Emma Frost's presence is being erased in these storylines because she is very much a pillar in these stories.
