My grandpa always always tells my grandma she’s beautiful. Every time she walks in the room he looks around at us and he says “isn’t that j the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen”, he goes on rants to my siblings and I about how they met and he always tells us she’s as beautiful as the day he met her… my grandpa set my standard.

There’s this resident at my job she has really bad dementia. She is combative and wanders and can’t sit still. Her husband always comes and visits her and just sits with her and looks at her with so much love. He doesn’t sit on the phone or is distracted by all the other people with dementia roaming around he just looks at her and on the days she doesn’t recognize him and is wandering around he lets her do her thing and is always just a couple steps behind her watcher over her. It melts my heart every time.
