kris got 5 fun adventures, a ton of new friends, gotten closer with noelle and overall became a better person, and is still trying to end the world, sunny murdered his sister and was tormented with the tramua for 4 year and lived off microwave steaks, not really a competition tbh

after playing both games i can say sunny has it worse. its not just "he killed his sister" lets not forget each day in headspace he wakes up due to a random ass phenomenon and in his last 3 days he has to go through his biggest fears. something and hellmari are no jokes. they are fucking eldritch beings humans ARE supposed to be scared of. and the terror of black space is enough to drive someone to suicide. and yes i know what kris went through with everything. the soul, snowgrave, and the others. but most of these are because of kris' fault in the first place.

Ok, LOOOONNNGGGG comparison here: Normal route Kris got fun adventures, new friends, closer relationships (except with Toriel) and a new hopeful outlook on life. Sunny had it far worse no question. Now weird route Kris is a YIKES 😭😭😭. Weird route has Kris be forced to terrify and torment his childhood best friend, drive her to near insanity due to her already negative mental state through forcing her dark world self to massacre a bunch of tech themed monsters, and drive her to do a basically a double offing of themselves. All with barely any autonomy at the mercy of US, the outside force that decides if their friends get to live life or suffer. I still give the edge to Sunny simply because he lived with every day torture of what he did from pushing Mari for 4 straight years, being locked alone with his thoughts and no connections to protect himself for all that time. Every day was a hallucinative mess where he constantly had thoughts of self offing (he even does so in every ending except 2-3). It gets so bad that in the Hikkomori route you can kill Sunny’s mental so harshly that he thinks none of it is real between dream and reality and offs himself in front of the movers. On top of that his best friend, who lost his mind in panic right in front of him stabbed him in the eye after attempting to kill them both to “save” them from their sins from Mari. I can’t in good conscious say Kris had it worse after Sunny lived with those 4 years of guilt and suffering with no help and a neglectful mother, hating himself for what he did to her and how he covered it up, nobody to protect him. I don’t get why people are called larps for saying either tho (I do see it more on the Deltarune side tho, there’s way too much Omori hate😭)

Kris has the most fun in their life in a dark world with Susie and ralsei. Sunny had to experience the mental torture he set himself up with in his dreams every night, and worst of all, Humphrey

at least Kris can have awesome adventures with their friends in real life. because sunny felt so much guilt over killing his sister he literally locked himself away alone for 4 whole years. that and when he inevitably tells them the truth they’ll probably be angry, at least for a little bit. His sister will never come back. That all sounds infinitely worse to me
