Your hit box is extending beyond the minion walking before you. A skill shot would have probably hit you too. Just riot’s spaghetti code at it’s best😂

The aggro is based on the 3D terrain. Since you approached from the high ground and the minion moved along the low ground, the tiger targeted (aggroed) you instead.
