When I was a kid my grandpa (Marine corps Vietnam vet) got me into junior bullriding. I remember my first ride clearly but what’s always stuck with me up to now is right before the chute opened he yelled “grit your teeth.” He’s passed on now but im going to basic in November and all I can hear is his voice saying “grit your teeth.” I believe his words will carry me forward
