Context: Laney's 31, a software engineer in Boston. She wants to travel to Rome but doesn't have the extra income for it, so she starts exploring UGC as a way to build an additional income stream. Here's what I'd tell her (and you): 1. Your series doesn't need to be original. Plenty of creators have done a "making money through content" series. What makes it yours is the positioning, Laney starting from zero as a software engineer, never filmed a video before, that's her angle. 2. Attach an outcome. "Can I make $5K in 6 months through UGC to fund a trip to Rome without touching my paycheck?" Now there's a number, a timeline, something at stake. That's what makes people come back week after week. 3.
