To avoid such nonsense just rent from the agencies everything intact there is nothing like gas will finish and bla bla bal and the best thing about renting from agency is that if you complain about something sharp and it get fixed less than 24 hours

What I will say about this issue is that you’re in the UK not in Ghana. So long as you’re paying to stay there, you need to be okay. 1. Don’t rent a house without a binding tenancy agreement unless the house is being given to you for free 2. Make sure you read, understand are okay with every term in the agreement before you accept to live there 3. Report the landlord if they breach the agreement or harass you.

I’m a student and work four hours a day and it’s in the evening. During winter in the mornings I couldn’t put on heater because my landlord got angry one day because I did. He comes home around half 6 and that’s when they put it on. By the time I get home 9:30 -10 they have turned it off. It was not easy oo. I didn’t even have money to buy myself the portable one to hide in my room. I always had to shake myself to sleep every night. Imagine wearing ntataso outside and wearing same at home . Very sad. The moment I get money I’m out of that house GHA landlords and pepee
