On amazon, search for Diffuser Tape. It just sticks straight on top of the LED strip and diffuses the light so it doesn’t look so garish

I’d definitely opt for warm white lights, with the rest of the colour scheme being light/neutral/beige the bright white doesn’t quite fit - still a beautiful idea!
