@thesameerproject: Tawjihi (high school) students were studying this summer for exams with gunfire in the background. They’ve been studying like this for three years now. How is this acceptable? Marah lives in Beit Lahia near the yellow line and spends hours studying to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor. In her area, there’s no electricity or internet so students have to do their exams in cafes in the heat and with loud sounds around them. The Sameer Project provided 270 boxes of juice, 288 chocolate bars and 100 pens for $360 (+11% commission). Education is integral to people in Palestine. We view it as a weapon for liberation and a mechanism of our survival. So despite the three years of ongoing genocide, students keep going in Gaza and The Sameer Project will always be by their side.
