@cbc_learning_resources26: LESSON PLANNING: A TEACHER'S ROADMAP TO SUCCESS 🇰🇪 Many teachers think lesson planning is just a document for supervision. In reality, it is your roadmap for effective teaching. A good lesson plan should answer these key questions: 1. What will learners achieve? - State clear lesson objectives or intended learning outcomes. 2. What will learners learn? - Identify the specific content to be covered. 3. How will they learn? - Choose learner-centred teaching and learning activities. 4. What resources will be used? - Use available teaching and learning materials, including locally available resources where possible. 5. How will you know learning has taken place? - Include assessment strategies such as observation, oral questions, written tasks, practical activities, or quizzes. 6. How will learners be supported? - Plan for learners with different abilities through differentiation and inclusion. 7. What happens after the lesson? - Reflect on what worked well, challenges encountered, and what to improve in the next lesson. Remember: A lesson plan is not prepared to impress a Quality Assurance Officer or a headteacher. It is prepared to help the teacher deliver an organised, engaging, and meaningful lesson. Good planning leads to confident teaching, active learning, and better learner outcomes. CBC Learning Resources
